What is headhunting?
Heading is done after the concrete piles have been driven. As soon as a pile has been driven into the ground, a part of the pile still protrudes above the ground. The part of the pile that protrudes above the ground is chipped off. This is called heading. The reinforcement in the pile is exposed. The reinforcement remains intact so that it can be attached to the reinforcement of the foundation. This makes the foundation a solid whole with the piles and the building can be built safely on it.
It is an art in head cutting not to damage the reinforcement of the pole. We are specialized in head cutting. We always do this in such a way that the reinforcement is not damaged.
Cracking heads or headhunting?
Head cracking is done with the help of a crane. This machine squeezes the pile to pieces. This is much faster and, partly because of this, is often cheaper than head cutting. The problem with head cracking is that the cracked piles often no longer meet quality requirements. And so they are more susceptible to problems afterwards. This causes the piles to be rejected, which means that they have to be driven again.
The act of head-cutting is often a bit more expensive than that of cracking the heads. However, the head-cutting method we use is often cheaper in net terms because the posts are almost never rejected using this technique.
We work with reliable tools
Cutting off the top of a pile may sound simple, but head cutting is absolutely skilled work. The concrete piles are very hard and we also adapt our work to the type of building that will be erected.
Furthermore, we have the right tools to get through the hard concrete well and efficiently, without damaging the reinforcement. This is often done with a so-called demolition hammer or drill. Collecting the rubble that comes from it is a standard part of our work. In consultation and for an additional fee, we can also remove the rubble for you.
Professionals throughout the Netherlands
We set high standards for our professionals. They are selected based on experience, neatness and customer focus. This means that they not only know exactly what needs to be done to do a job well, they also speak to you politely. Where desired, the professionals will also think along with you about a successful execution of your work. We work with our own specialized personnel. The professional who works for you is therefore quickly available.
We work personally and tailor-made
The many applications that require head cutting also require a customized approach. We are of course happy to help you with this. When drawing up a quote, we will contact you personally to ensure that we are as well informed as possible about the situation of your job. It is nice if we can discuss everything with you. We will get to work on that basis.
We know the different applications
There are many factors that play a role in a good foundation, which makes pile driving a specialist profession. Different types of soil place different demands on the length and thickness of the piles. A residential building needs a different foundation than a ten-storey apartment building. There are different options for many buildings and types of soil. This is determined by the nature of the foundation and the size of the exposed amount of reinforcement. Each pile requires a slightly different approach. We know exactly which one suits your situation best.
How much does headhunting cost?
Before we start our work and make a delivery appointment with you, we will give you a specific price indication. We offer a fair price for this and will communicate this clearly. Our starting rate is 150 euros. We will be able to carry out part of the work for that amount. For larger jobs, which often includes headhunting, we will of course arrive at a higher rate. Once the work has been completed, you will receive an invoice from us afterwards.
Type of foundation
Every type of foundation is different. Other types of piles can be used or the reinforcement can be different. For this reason, every job is unique and we adapt our working methods and materials to this. You can therefore assume that we look carefully at what needs to be done for each job and that we carry this out in the correct manner.
