How does De Betonboorder's device selection aid work?

The wizard asks for the floor area (m²), optional ceiling height, whether you want to use supplementary heating in winter, whether the installation is on a tiled roof/knee wall, and whether there is sufficient wall or ceiling space. It then recommends the smallest Innova monoblock that fits in terms of capacity and fit. No rights can be derived from this advice.

What safety margin does the selection tool use for m²?

A standard margin of 5 m² is added to the specified surface area. For installation via a tiled roof/knee wall, an additional 10 m² is added (total +15 m²). With a known ceiling height, the volume (m³) is also included, with a +10 m³ margin (+25 m³ extra for roof installation).

When do you choose an ELEC model?

If you want to use supplementary heating in the winter, the selection tool recommends only ELEC models. In addition to the heat pump, these have an electric heating element for cold days.

When to use horizontal, MINI, vertical, or Ceiling?

Preference: horizontal model if there is approx. 80 × 105 cm of wall space (65 × 105 cm for flush mounting). If that does not fit and the space is small enough for the MINI 9HP: approx. 80 × 85 cm. Otherwise, vertical (approx. 160 × 70 cm) for narrow walls. Ceiling (approx. 35 × 115 cm) only as a fallback when you want to hang close to the ceiling and wall-mounted models do not fit. Vertical and Ceiling models are not suitable for tiled roof installations.

Which Innova model suits which space?

Indication with good insulation: MINI 9HP up to approx. 28 m² / 72 m³; 10HP and 12HP Vertical up to approx. 41 m² / 103 m³; 12HP, 12HP ELEC, 15HP Vertical, 15HP ELEC Vertical and Ceiling up to approx. 48 m² (horizontal/vertical also 120 m³); 15HP/15HP ELEC up to approx. 58 m² / 146 m³; 18HP ELEC up to approx. 68 m² / 170 m³. The wizard selects the smallest model that still fits after a safety margin.

What if the facade has obstacles?

The device must not only fit inside: the drill holes must meet the outside also be able to come out freely. Watch out for obstacles on the facade (such as a downpipe, window frame, or extension) and on a flat roof that is higher than the interior floor — the holes then exit outside below roof level.
